3.0 out of 5 stars Too pop-punk
I love emo, and I bought these guys thinking of something to the degree of Midtown or the Ataris but not even close. DB is a little too pop-punk for me. The first 5 songs are pretty cool but after that they all sound the same and are weak.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Little Of Everything, December 2, 1999

This is a great collection of Pop-Punk. Comming from a local band that Ive always liked. This is an up beat album that sounds awsome at first and gets even better every time you listen to it. A great example of what you will find at Emo's on 6th street in Austin Texas. What makes this album even better is the guys that make up the band. They are all great guys that love life, and they make great neighbors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dynamite Boy's a Great Band, March 13, 2000

It was hard to find this record, but it was well worth it in the end. Dynamite Boy has a unique sound of pop-punk mixed with emo, but the songs are played fast. The singer has a very good voice and sings with a lot of emotion. I was hooked on this CD for a very long time and I still listen to it. If you ever have a chance to pick this up at your music store, I highly recomend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars These Guys Rock Sox!, January 29, 2000

This is the break-thru album the "Dynamite Boys" deserve. After writing, producing, and performing their unique style of GenX music, both in Austin and on the road for five long years, the band is finally receiving the acolades they have earned.

On Finders Keepers, the "DBs" combine their hard-driving sound with strong harmonies and thoughtful lyrics, giving their fans the best yet recorded version of the raw energy of their live performances. While all the band members demonstrate this energy, it is Andrew who leads the band in connecting with Dynamite Boy's loyal fans.

I give this album a hearty three thumbs-up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Album from Upcoming Superstars, July 29, 2000

I saw this band on the Strung Out tour this summer and was impressed. I picked up the Finder's Keeper's CD and was blown away. There isn't a bad track on here. If you like pop-punk in the tradition of Blink-182, Green Day, etc. you should really give this a listen. It grows on you until you can't stop playing the CD. These guys will be huge soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't just = popular, January 28, 2005
This review is from: Finders Keepers (Audio CD)
pop music: music of general appeal to teenagers; a bland watered-down version of rock'n'roll with more rhythm and harmony and an emphasis on romantic love.

Pop can mean popular, but in the case of music it just means that it's just more rhytmic and less hard as rock 'n' roll. Before you go telling other people to get a brain you should check into getting that done yourself. I haven't heard this band yet but I'm trying to gather information on it to see if I would like to buy the album and people like you who complain about other people's opinions tend to get in my way, and I don't like that. So do us all a favor and shut up.
