5.0 out of 5 stars A little intrigue, a little violence, a little sex, a LOT of fun, April 26, 2006
This review is from: Finders Keepers (Silhouette Bombshell) (Mass Market Paperback)
Just finished Finders Keepers and enjoyed it very much. Samantha and Matt show instant chemistry. But building a relationship isn't easy while Matt's trying to escape from three kidnapping attempts--two of them carried out by Sam, herself.

He believes her story all too well, that she's been hired by his aunt--a wealthy, influential Boston Brahmin--to grab him in San Diego and take him back to Boston. He's in San Diego as a reporter for the Miami Herald, investigating a lead to break the Russian mob. He doesn't know--and neither does Samantha--the true web of intrigue behind his kidnapping.

Seeing Sam and Matt realize their feelings for each other as they out smart the mob, save a woman and three children then fight for their lives, makes for a fast read and plenty of entertainment. This book is a great introduction to the equally fun sequel, Sneak and Rescue.

5.0 out of 5 stars fine character driven thriller, October 14, 2005
This review is from: Finders Keepers (Silhouette Bombshell) (Mass Market Paperback)
In San Diego, retrieval specialist Samantha Ballanger knows her current assignment will be one of her most difficult if not the toughest because the object of her mission will most likely not cooperate; on the other hand her object has perfect buns. Sam must abduct reporter Matt Granger to keep him from destroying an FBI probe into the Russian Mafia.

Sam successfully kidnaps Matt, but he assumes she works for Renkov. As they drive east danger mounts as mobsters give chase. Making the flight thornier is the fact her "victim" tries to escape because he does not trust her and to go back to what he does best, investigative reporting. When the peril mounts with Sam obviously trying to keep him safe, Matt decides to cooperate; of course it helps that he wants his kidnapper to share his bed with him. As they elude the gangsters chasing after them, but struggle to make it to the safe house, neither seems capable of eluding their hearts beating as one to the tune of love.

The chase is often amusing as "life" such as soccer moms has a way of interfering with the lead protagonists' fleeing for their lives, but never loses focus of the gravity of the situation as Renkov and his thugs continue their efforts to eliminate the reporter. The action-packed story line is fast paced as expected with an on the road show chase tale while the evolution from retrieving to loving enhances a fine character driven thriller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Exciting, what a great read!, March 23, 2006
This review is from: Finders Keepers (Silhouette Bombshell) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book was so much fun to read! The humor and suspense were deftly woven together to make me fly through the pages. I couldn't put it down all night long. I was either laughing or waiting with baited breath to see what would happen next. The secondary characters in this book were hysterical, and the love scenes were way hot. A perfect all around read!
