Fantastic Fiction!, October 28, 2011
This review is from: Finding Becky: Winds Across the Prairie, Book Three (Paperback)
Once again Martha Rogers brings us a grand story that seems to be right out of the history books.
Becky Haynes is returning home after being gone to college for four years. On the train home she meets a handsome man, Geoff Kingston. Geoff is seemingly besotted with Becky and Becky likes the attention.
But at the train station as everyone is meeting and greeting Becky, her long time friend, Rob Frankston, wants some time to greet Becky too but every Becky goes there is Geoff, too!
Rob can't figure Geoff out. Rob "sees" right through Geoff and his slick ways but Becky and the others think Geoff is such a nice, handsome man.
When terrible things start to take place and the people of Barton Creek seem to be in peril and danger Rob knows he must find out what is going on.
This is a great historical read! The reader isn't quite sure what Geoff's interest in Becky is either but like Rob wants to find out.
There's suspense and mystery in all the "goings on" that makes this a hard read to put down!

Finding Becky, #3, September 28, 2011
This review is from: Finding Becky: Winds Across the Prairie, Book Three (Paperback)
gFinding Beckyh is the third in the Winds Across the Prairie series and kept my interest just like the first two book. Set in Oklahoma Territory, early 1900s the series follows the settlers in their quest to carve out their familyfs living. This book starts as Becky, or Rebecca, as she would now like to be addressed, arrives home after graduating from college in Boston. Four years away from OK has broadened her horizons and changed her in many ways. She is returning to her home town to be a writer for the home town newspaper. She also wants to bring reform and new ideas to the territory. The story is filled with cowboys, wind storms, fires, home town celebrations, romance, and just a bit of mystery, to keep the reader turning the pages. Wonderful continuation to the series, canft wait for #4.

An unforgettable series!, January 10, 2011
This review is from: Finding Becky: Winds Across the Prairie, Book Three (Paperback)
I absolutely ADORE Martha's work. She is a seasoned author who incorporates God's love in every one of her books. When I open one of her books, it's like coming home each and every time! The hearts of her readers instantly become the characters in her stories, making the readers experience absolutely unforgettable.
This is a FANTASTIC series. Barton Creek is a town I wish I could be a part of. Finding Becky takes us back to that sweet town, but added to the sweet story is a new character names Geoff Kensington......he brings along some mischief and mayhem when he arrives in town on the same train that brings Becky Haynes back into lovable Rob Frankston's life. But, Becky is long lost, and in her place is Miss Rebecca Haynes, the newly sophisticated woman journalist who's determined to stand up for woman's rights.
But God, through Rob's affections for her, shows Miss Rebecca Haynes she'll ALWAYS be Becky. Through Rob, God helps Becky find herself, Him, and even true love.
The spiritual messages once again flow strong, in this addition to Martha Roger's series. I highly recommend this book, along with Becoming Lucy and Morning for Dove, with 5 stars and two thumbs up. Book 4, Caroline's Choice, sounds just as fantastic and I can't wait to dive in!
