Born Richard Alpert, Ram Dass was given his Hindu name (meaning "Servant of God") by his Indian guru, Neem Karoli Baba. Ram Dass explores what it means to embark on a spiritual journey, and how to spiritualize every experience we encounter, even when we would consider it a failure or an obstacle; he also answers questions we ordinarily have about our relationship with different teachings and to the teachers themselves in a helpful way for westerners. This is a winner--And Dass' voice is a delight to listen to. You'll want to hear him over and over again.

For many years now, this voice of deeper meaning has calmed me, guided me, while coming back into my "mind's ear" to allow me to help many, many others. I had never listened or read any of Ram Dass' works before yesterday, but I listened to his message in Exploring Your Spiritual Path and I was deeply touched. His level of humility, compassion and just all around beauty are amazing. He communicates with a radiant open heart and he speaks to the larger You. If you hear something inside of you calling to seek out more in a grand adventure this will likely suit you so very well, and if you have been enjoying this grand adventure for some time and would like to share some time with a like minded soul this this work will serve you well.
