The author tells the story of how, as a young man struggling to find his path in life he was put back on the road to God by a caring minister and slowly learned how to speak to God, in quiet meditation, in church, or even on the subway.

BARING ONE'S SOUL,
By Hugh M Frazer (Andrews, NC USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Finding God on the a Train: A Journey into Prayer (Hardcover)
I once read where to be a successful actor one must be so uninhibited that they would be able to go out on stage completely naked. I would never wish that fate on Rick Hamlin but he has shown us that he has what it takes to be a great writer: he is willing and able to bare his own soul. Keep on writing, Rick, (acting, singing). We'll be listening. You've got what it takes!

I really enjoyed Rick's book. Found it at a local library. Having heard Rick speak at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City, I was intrigued by the title. I, too, try to find God in the little spaces of time I find myself in during my daily commute to the city. The book is a quick read, and is very honest. For that, I applaud Mr. Hamlin. I can't wait to find out where God has led Rick in his search for Him. A new book, possibly?
