5.0 out of 5 stars Nikki Stafford has done it again..., October 21, 2007
This review is from: Finding Lost - Season Three: The Unofficial Guide (Paperback)
About two years ago, I picked up "Finding Lost" by Nikki Stafford. I expected it to be a simple episode guide to the first two season of Lost, and wanted to refresh my memory before the third season started.
Boy, was I wrong.
Not only was the book a guide, but it also was an insightful look into what everything meant and offered many interpretations about the show. And I loved every page of it.
Now, here I am again, holding Season Three's book in my hands. I am happy to say that Nikki Stafford has done it again. Her views and insights on each episode paint a clearer picture of what the characters, writers, and producers may have been thinking. Each section is not a 'recap,' because like the book says, nothing would ever be able to substitute for the show. However, it does provide a background and overall review of the episode, and offers the reader many different opinions about what actually happened.
Following each section are several informative sub-sections. Each one explores other areas of the episode, such as where the mysterious 'numbers' occur, interesting facts, blink-and-you-miss moments, foreign language translations, production mistakes, and much, much more.
All in all, Nikki Stafford knows her stuff. Not only that, but she knows how to write, too. A most excellent read for ANY Lost fan, from the most hardcore to the casual viewer. I highly recommend this book.

Simply a must have book for any real LOST fan. Just great reading with well researched info, pictures and thoughts on every episode. Nikki manages to cover all aspects of each show without giving away any spoilers. You will remember things you forgot and learn things you didn't know about every episode. I have the books for seasons 1-5 and they are all excellent. Thank you Nikki for your insight on my all-time favorite television show!

The first time I noticed a clue hidden in "Lost" I thought I was so hot (it was the "DHARMA" logo stamped on the belly of the shark in "Adrift"!), then I found Nikki's books, and felt like I had slept through the episodes! Everytime I get a new season's book,it's like a scavenger hunt! Nikki Stafford's books are the perfect companion to have by your side as you watch repeats via dvd or syndication!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great guide for season three, November 8, 2008
This review is from: Finding Lost - Season Three: The Unofficial Guide (Paperback)
I love this show, its the best on TV. I've also found this book to be very good also. Now I'm going back and watching all the seasons over to find secrets and clues that I may have missed for season three.

One of the things LOST introduced me to was the Twilight Zone which J.J. Abrams was inspired. Besides this book, I recommend one other also on Amazon.com. THE TWILIGHT ZONE: Unlocking the Door to a Television Classic by Martin Grams. Together, both books open the skies for cult television.

By the time LOST had completed its third season the series had exploded into a global phenomenon, inspiring a legion of critics, bloggers and fans to indulge their passion for the show with their own analysis and commentary. None have done so as successfully as Nikki Stafford, author of several books on television and popular culture including the first volume of this marvelous series, FINDING LOST: THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE. 5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating and Fun, October 15, 2009
This review is from: Finding Lost - Season Three: The Unofficial Guide (Paperback)
This was actually the first of Nikki's books that I picked up. I was addicted to Lost, but didn't know where to start when it came to websites, blogs and books about the show. I happened to pick up this book and found a treasure trove of information. I couldn't believe all of the things that I had missed and it made me want to sit down and watch the show all over again.

With the episode by episode guide, Nikki points out details you might have missed, questions that were raised and other fun minutia (like where Hurley's numbers pop up... crazy!). The sidebars and book reviews break up the chapters and give you so much to think about.

A must have for every Lost fan :)
