Not worth it,

This review is from: Finding Money: over 400+ places to find spare cash in your life (Sicpress) (Kindle Edition)
There is really not 400 plus ways in this book if you are one of the people who consider "don't smoke" and "quit smoking" as pretty much the same tip. There is also "cut your hair because long hair is expensive to maintain" and then "grow your hair to save money on getting it cut"-huh? Also "don't drink soda pop or energy drinks" and then later "give up soda pop". There is also "don't use coupons" and "send away for manufacturer's coupons". There are lots of repeats and conflicting tips in this book. Also, if you consider tips such as "stay healthy", "stay safe", "learn to cook","drink tap water", "avoid ATM fees", and "carpool" as little jewels of wisdom that never occured to you then by all means this may be the book for you, otherwise, tip #401 save yourself a dollar by not buying this. It's all common sense that we've heard tons of times before. On the positive side your purchase of the book will help support the work of Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley it says at the end so I feel like my dollar wasn't totally wasted.

Badly Edited And Repetitive,

The ideas in Finding Money are good, but the book is badly edited and repetitive. However, I don't feel ripped off, because I bought Finding Money through Kindle for only a dollar. I would have felt extremely unhappy if I had bought a paper version of the book at a much highter price. If you feel you must own this book, Kindle is the way to go.

Every penny helps,
This review is from: Finding Money: over 400+ places to find spare cash in your life (Sicpress) (Kindle Edition)
I love books that give advice how to save money, even if it comes out to pennies, and this one has lots of sound advice for saving some of our cash. Godsey breaks the book down in sections in which to save ie. food and shopping, work & finances and more. Some of her advice I'm already using, and some I will use. This book is really good for home owners of which I am not and for families, which I do not have, still a useful little tome.

The author provides many practical ways to save money. As a mom of two, I am always looking to save where I can. The book gives specific and useful ideas, several of which I had not considered prior to reading the book. I'm using some of the ideas to teach my children to look for ways to save money, too, as they are at an age where they enjoy making a game of it.

Grammatical Errors in the Free Preview,
This review is from: Finding Money: over 400+ places to find spare cash in your life (Sicpress) (Kindle Edition)
The free preview had a grammatical errors - "quite" instead of "quiet" - and was contradictory - "buy used clothes" and "don't buy cheap clothes". Here's my suggestion. Save your 99 cents.

This book joins many others of it's type, and offers many immediately beneficial suggestions that anyone can benefit from. Not as much fun to read as Tuli Kupferberg's classic "1001 Ways to Live Without Working," but much more practical in these tough times.
