5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Mr. Right
This was an awesome love story about a woman named Tyra Cunningham and how she raised her two siblings after their parents died. Both of her siblings are now grown with good jobs and she decides that it is time to get a job in her profession although she is not hurting for money and to start dating again. 1.0 out of 5 stars not cutting it
I tend to get Gwynne Forster books because she wrote them, simply because I loved her earlier books, but the dialogue in this one was like the previous romance(that I couldn't finish)is unrealistic of people who call themselves being attracted or in love with each other. I have better conversations with friends than these two did. I'll have to think twice as hard about...

2.0 out of 5 stars Your'e kidding me right?, October 26, 2009
This review is from: Finding Mr. Right (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I love this author. I have read a lot of her books and I was never dissapointed with her work until... This book was very hard to follow. The characters were engaged in all kind of choppy converstion , going from one thing to another without having a middle. The foundation for this story had good potential but it fell wayyy flat. Some of the characters were just not realistic. The little boy dipicted in this story, as sweet as his character was, I thought he was talking like he was from Mayberry everytime he said "gee,"gosh. I was like no little 4 year old black boy talks like that. Overall it was just disappointing. I love the author but I can't reccommend this as a good read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Story...Hard to Read though, September 1, 2009
I didnt finish this book it was just really hard to read, the dialogue was not believable at all. I have read almost all of Mrs Forsters books but this was not some of her best work. I think the story itself was good and had a good point to it but it was impossible to finish for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Yeah Right!, August 13, 2009
This review is from: Finding Mr. Right (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
So I read the previous reviews on this book and actually went to the store to pick it up...The storyline was very believable, but the dialogue was HORRIBLE! We do reaize that these are supposed to be real people, not to mention black people...I swear if I read "Gee" or "Gosh" one more time I was going to BURN that book. What people do you know who speak like this? I am a LOVER of romance novels but this one was really bad...not only do the storylines keep me interested but also the diaglogue and the realness of the book...another thing is they had the little boy's dialogue completely unrealistic...what four year old talks like that?? For those reasons this book would not get any thumbs up from me. It could have been a lot better than what it was...Ms. Forster may need to be around real people to get an accurate sense of they way they talk.

This was an awesome love story about a woman named Tyra Cunningham and how she raised her two siblings after their parents died. Both of her siblings are now grown with good jobs and she decides that it is time to get a job in her profession although she is not hurting for money and to start dating again. Her brother Clark brings home a dinner guest that he works with by the name of Byron Wright who is instantly attracted to Tyra and she to him. She assumes that her brother is match making and almost decides to not go out with Byron when he asks to her to dinner but after talking to her brother she realizes that he was not trying to match the two of them up. Tara gets a job at the Legal Aid Center and is very happy to get a job that she loves and to meet the man of her dreams. Byron is a widow and has a 4 year old son that he has raised from birth after his wife dies. He feels that Tyra is the woman of his dreams and brings her home after a few dates to meet his son Andy. He has never brought any of the women that he dated in the past but feels that Tyra is the one. Andy falls in love with her and she with him. In the meantime one of her coworkers tries to hit on her Christopher Fuller and she immediately puts him in his place. He gets angry by her rebuff and tells her that he will get even with her. He makes good on his promise when Byron and Tyra are getting really close and you won't believe what he did. Anyway, Tyra had doubts after the incident and that hurt Byron so he decides not to see her for awhile. She gets to the bottom of things even though she knows she hurt him and he realizes that she is the one and if she did not love him that she would not have done what she did to help him find out the truth. I won't be a spoiler and tell the entire story so you will have to read the story to find out all the details and you won't be disappointed. This a great story and you won't be able to put this book down until you finished it like I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars luv to read, August 7, 2009
This review is from: Finding Mr. Right (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Finding Mr. Right was a really great book. From the very beginning you could see the chemistry that Tyra a woman that has raised her siblings, and Byron who's a single father, have for one another. Now that Tyra has raised her siblings, she's ready to start dating and get a job outside the home. Tyra has alot to deal with on her new job. She has a co-worker who doesn't like being told no. I won't give anything else away about that. I'm sure that we probably haven't read the last on the Cunningham's. There could possibly be stories for Clark and Darlene the siblings of Tyra. I would really like reading stories about them and seeing Byron, Tyra, and Byron's son Andy again. I read this book in one day and would recommend it.
