Loading Nemo,

This game is terrible! My son purchased this game with his own money and was in tears when he realized what a "rip-off" it was. If you have seen the movie, you have seen the game. Basically, you watch the movie, and every few minutes the movie breaks so you can play a game. The problem arises during the 'loading' time. During the load time, all that is on screen is Nemo swimming on a black screen. We were so frustrated we timed the loading. It took a minimum of 2 minutes to load- the actual game only took 1 minute to play!!I emailed the company (THQ) and they told me to exchange it. I brought it back to "Toys R Us" and they did exchange it. The second game was just as bad! I went back to Toys R Us and returned that one and explained the problem. I don't think they believed me, so they put the disc in the Gamecube they had at the store. When the saw how long it loaded they gave me a refund. Final word. If you have patient children, they will love it. If you have normal children, they will hate it!

Good graphics, horrible gameplay,

It appears that a lot of new games coming out based on movies are actually getting better and better (a good example is LOTR:The Two Towers), but unfortunately, Nemo is not one of them.As other reviewers have mentioned, the loading times are utterly unacceptable - loading take so long it ruins the flow and story that the game is trying to tell us (Nemo and his dad trying to find their way to school). And the gameplay itself is horrible and unintuative. Trying to navigate a little clown fish through the depths of the sea is an effort in total luck and frustration - if you want Nemo to swim up, you must push down on the control stick, if you want Nemo to swim down, you must push up. This control scheme may be alright for flight simulator games, but in a game that kids that will be playing is alien, confusing, and bass-ackwards.

Finding Nemo - for the Gamecube is a decent gamegood graphics good music, BUT the music very noticably loops with a full stop in between the game isn't really for the younger kids my 8 year old was able to play some of it, but mostly kept handing the controller to her mother and I for assistance cute characters, even our cat likes to watch it but the absolute worst part of the game? the load time, horrible, horrible, horrible you can literally go and grab a snack between loads and you even have to wait for the game to load going back to the main game screen So to summarize, music could be less "broken" load time needs to be a TON better and if it's truly for the younger kids, difficulty is a tad high still decent game, overall

My son just got this game as a gift - he is 5 years old. The game takes a long time to load. Very long time where we thought the disc was dirty or something else was wrong. I found a usenet post that discusses the same problem. I can't see my son having the patience for this.

Not Much Play Time!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Finding Nemo (Video Game)
I was very disappointed when I bought this game for my home -- it actually gets the least amount of play time of all the games in our collection. The graphics are great, but the amount of time you have to wait for the segments to load is enough to have you load an entirely new game. The load time is much too long.

Loading Time,

This game is ok but it takes entirely too long to load. When you first turn it on it has to load for about 1-2 minutes literaly, then it starts out with Nemo waking his dad, like in the movie, to go to school then, it has to load again for about 1-2 minutes. Then, you make it to school and it stops to load a third time!It doesn't hold my children's interest(6 and 4)and I think getting to school is the furthest that they've made it and they end up turning it off. My opinion is a strong "don't waste your money!" Rent it first and then make your decision!

I'm almost 13 and loved the movie but the game takes SOOOOO LONG to load!!! I thought our disc was messed up or somthing til i read other reviews! the game is ok considering i love the characters and stuff but i was expecting more because the movie is so great i guess... this game would be especially hard for younger kids even though it looks like it would be a great game for little kids...

Finding Nemo is a great game!,

The game is based on the movie (Of course). The game is fun and is one of the best games I've played. The graphics and animation are just like the movie, and are almost as good. In the Nintendo GameCube version here, the framerate can drop a good bit in some levels, though nearly all the levels have no slowdown or very rarely slows down. The game is also available on PS2 and Xbox (As well as PC and GameBoy Advance). However, the Nintendo GameCube versions graphics are cleaner and less jaggy than the PS2 version thanks to the GameCube's 202.5 MHZ graphics processor and Anti-Aliasing (PS2 graphics processor is a weak 150 MHZ). But the XBox version has the cleanest graphics out of all the versions thanks to it's 250 MHZ graphics processor. You'll notice a good bit that if you compare the graphics in the PS2 and XBox version, the graphics in the XBox version are better. But if you compare the GameCube version and XBox version, you'll notice that both are almost 100% identical and will see almost know difference what so ever. But, the XBox version still has the cleanest. There are over 15 levels in the game. As you progress through the game, you will be able to play some Bonus Games which include Puzzle Solving, Simon Says and more. There is also Bonus Artwork from the movie! You can also play the Trailer for the Movie (Preview of the movie)! And, there are also many scenes from the movie itself! Since the PS2 and XBox use DVD's, it is guarenteed that the scenes from the movie in those versions have DVD quality pictures. What does that mean? The GameCube version has VHS quality pictures? No! The GameCube version has the exact same picture quality and sound for the scenes from the movie as the PS2 and XBox versions. The only real disadvantage about Finding Nemo, is that the Load times are SLOW! It usually takes about 30-40 seconds to load the levels, but sometimes it even takes a minute and a half! That's just not good at all. I mean, GameCube can have loading times as fast as 2 seconds! This can't be seen in Finding Nemo. Oh well. Finding Nemo is fun, has realistic 3-D graphics, smooth animation, good sound and I highly recommend it (The GameCube version)!

Finding Nemo is a very fun game because it is just like the movie. You get to do all the things that are in the movie and the graphics are very cool.
