Book Description

"Atmospheric, lush, and lyrical, Leigh M. Lane's Finding Poe is a haunting Gothic novel which will delight anyone familiar with the works of Edgar Allan Poe, as well as anyone who enjoys an evocative and classic tale of terror." -horror/mystery author Dana Fredsti.

When reality and fiction collide, there's no telling what horrors might ensue.

In the wake of her husband's haunted death, Karina must sift through the cryptic clues left behind in order to solve the mystery behind his suicide--all of which point back to the elusive man and author, Edgar Allan Poe.

Karina soon finds that reality, dream, and nightmare have become fused into one as she journeys from a haunted lighthouse in New England to Baltimore, where the only man who might know the answers to her many questions resides.

But will she find her answers before insanity rips her grip on reality for good? Might a man she's never met hold the only key to a truth more shocking than even she could have imagined?

Finding Poe was a 2013 EPIC Awards finalist in Horror.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnificent!!! March 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Karina is in her own personal hell. Forced to leave her home & social status because of a scandal, her husband, Brantley, relocates them to an abandoned lighthouse in New England. She soon starts seeing things, horrific things, & her husband is on the brink of madness. After his untimely death, she finds a letter address to Mr. Poe, & makes it her personal mission to see to it that the letter gets delivered. Spectacularly written, this is a tale of horror, madness, fear, hope, love & betrayal. Horrific, magnificent, fantastic, bizarre & beautiful, Leigh has taken us to the very edge of what we perceive as insanity. It brings to mind the old Memorex commercial, "Is it live, or is it Memorex?". Has Karina gone completely mad, or are things more malevolent than they appear? A must read for any horror fan, a book that makes you think, and makes you question your own sanity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and Unique March 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Leigh M. Lane has managed to create a unique tale that involves many elements of stories and poems written by Edgar Allan Poe including The Black Cat, A Descent into the Maelstrom, Masque of the Red Death, The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether, The Raven, The Lighthouse and A Dream Within a Dream.

Brilliant tale about Karina, a noble born woman, who's husband moves her away from everything she has ever known to live in an isolated lighthouse. While there, Karina starts seeing things and her husband descends into madness. Upon his death, Karina finds a letter addressed to Mr. Poe and sets out on a journey to deliver this last piece of correspondence to a mysterious man she has never met....or has she?
