First Impressions and Second Chances,
By
This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
I think that Stefanie's book was my favorite out of the whole series. I'm not sure if it's because she was the only girl and I felt that I could relate to her the most. She is very strong willed and is completely capable of taking care of herself. I think she's actually the most "noble" of all the Noble siblings. There's nothing in her past for her to be ashamed of. I liked Gideon's story as well involving his relationship with Libby. I didn't like her dad too well because for a pastor he was rather quick to judge. You'd think he'd be willing to look for the good in someone first before trying to kick them out of town. I felt in the beginning that Gideon was being too proud by refusing help but in the end he gave in because of his sisters. The mystery was very well played throughout the book. I missed the small clues about who it was so I was surprised at the end to see who the perpetrator had been. I liked Lincoln as well. He was a multi-dimensional character with a lot of secrets that he had been hiding for years. He and Stefanie had good chemistry throughout the whole book. The only thing that is still baffling me is to why Stefanie and Rafe never acknowledge Cole as their brother even though from the first book we find out that he actually is. My only guess is that they still have not found this out.Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. While I am sad to see the series end, I felt like this book tied up many loose ends and had a satisfying ending. I shall miss the adventures of the Noble kids and the life of ranching.

FINDING STEFANIE,
By Tamara Tilley (Hume Lake, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
FINDING STEFANIE, the third book in the Noble Family Legacy series was a great read. We've gotten to know Stefanie briefly from RECLAIMING NICK and TAMING RAFE but we really got a closer look at her and the struggles she has faced in life in FINDING STEFANIE.
When Lincoln Cash, Hollywood heartthrob decides to put down roots in Phillips, Montana, Stefanie wonders if they might be able to pick up where they left off when Lincoln was in town shooting Unshackled the previous year. But, when a drifting teenager - with his two sisters in tow- accidently burns down the ranch Lincoln purchased, Stefanie realizes the Lincoln Cash she previously met is not the same man who's moved in next to her family ranch. We follow Stefanie as she takes in three runaway kids, convinces herself Lincoln is not the man for her, and questions her life and where it is going. Several story lines converge making FINDING STEFANIE a fast-paced read. The plight of Gideon and his sisters, Lincoln's attempt at hiding his condition from the world, and Stefanie feeling dissatisfied with the way her life has turned out has you turning page after page to see how each of these people find resolution. Throw in an overprotective preacher sheltering his teenage daughter and a stalker bent on getting revenge and you have the perfect makings of a romance/suspense novel that you will not want to put down. FINDING STEFANIE was my favorite out of the three books in the series. And though I am an avid PBR (Professional Bull Riders) fan and thought I would swallow up TAMING RAFE, FNDING STEFANIE hit a cord with me. There is a little cheesiness here and there as Stefanie refers to Lincoln as a superhero and a few places that I was screaming at Stefanie to stop being so self-depreciating, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Finding Healing,
By Melissa (Wellington, Colorado) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
I absolutely love Susan May Warren's books, and Finding Stephanie was no exception. I was so excited to read the final book in the Noble Legacy...to read Stephanie's story after reading Nick's and Rafe's story. The side stories of Gideon and Lincoln made me love this book all the more. The central theme of forgiveness was beautifully portrayed throughout the whole story. I really wasn't sure how the story of Gideon and his sisters was going to work with the story, but it really added depth to the story. Lincoln's MS diagnosis was a wonderful addition and didn't sugar coat the disease and how debilitating it was. It added depth and strength to Lincoln above and beyond being a "strong" man physically. Stephanie's story of sadness and loss made me want to cry for her. Dealing with all the loss set a great stage for taking care of the kids and horses in order for them to find healing too. The mystery of the accidents was well written with a twist that was not seen coming.

Not Real!,
By
This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
I did not enjoy this book so much as the others in the series. I really got tired for the story to repeat itself in a sense that someone wanted to finish someone. It is like the family was cursed or something.
I did not really care for the characters. It did not seem to be real. The writer touched on serious issues but handled them in an unrealistic way. The story was too sweet for my taste. The writer moved at fast pace changing scenes constantly. I prefer my books to have development, feel realistic; so I can believe the story. The writer kept the good tension between the hero and heroine and also a good tension between a secondary couple; but for me it was not enough.

Healing the past,

I really, really enjoyed this series. I have to say that I too thought this was my favorite, though they are all really amazing. I loved all the characters in this series because I found myself in each one of them. I would recommend this series to everyone because it helps you to not only hope for the love of your life with someone but also to have such a deep relationship with God. Finding Stephanie was so great also because of Lincoln and his struggles. I love reading stories where the characters are real. A lot of times romance stories are written with characters that don't seem realistic. I've read a lot of romance books over the years and these are some of the best. Susan May Warren is a very talented author. I look forward to reading more of her stuff.

Stefanie's chance at love,and some knee-weakening kisses!,
By Christine H. "soblessed" (,OH,U.S.A.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
Finding Stefanie is a great conclusion to the Noble Legacy series. I liked Stefanie throughout this series in her two brother's books, and I was looking forward to reading her own story. As someone else said, and I agree,Stefanie is the most 'noble' of the Nobles. I'm so glad the author gave her such a beautiful chance at love. Lincoln Cash is a great guy for her.
The secondary love story with Gideon and Libby is also great, though I thought her pastor father was a real jerk and sorely lacking in pastor(even Christian) qualities. This is a story that will tug at your heart, and like the other two in the series "Reclaiming Nick, and "Taming Rafe" there is plenty of suspenseful tension in this novel as well. You will enjoy reading about the community of Phillips,Montana, and the folks out at the Noble family's Silver Buckle ranch.

This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
Just like the other two novels in the Noble series this book is a wonderful story full of every emotion out there. A book that I couldn't put down, and keeps you guessing until the end. Have to love a little mystery with your romance.

Reading Susan May Warren's Finding Stefanie left me wondering, "Why haven't I read a Susan May Warren book before? And how quickly can I get my hands on the rest?"
Stefanie Noble is the kind of main character you love to root for. She put her dreams on hold to help run the family ranch, but never imagined they would slip out of sight. Luckily for Stefanie, those dreams are about to come knocking at her door. Lincoln cash has gained fame and fortune on the big screen, but a crippling secret leaves him one chance to make his mark on the movie industry. With dreams of hosting a new film festival, Lincoln intends to remodel a sprawling ranch in eastern Montana to make it the new Hollywood hot-spot. Unfortunately, a house fire threatens his plans, as does opposition from his new neighbor, Stefanie, who's not thrilled about his tinsel-town changes. What Lincoln and Stefanie don't know is that the fire won't be the last disaster to threaten Lincoln, or his future. Someone is out for revenge...but who? And who is the real target? As much as I loved Stefanie and Lincoln, my favorites of the book were Gideon and Libby. Gideon's a runaway kid taking care of his sister and Libby's a nineteen-year-old with her sights set on the mission field. She's shocked to find herself falling in love with Gideon. The story between the two of them is so sweet and wonderful that at times, I didn't really want to return to our main characters. This is the type of book that sucks you into story world and leaves you disappointed to have to return to real life. An excellent addition to the Noble Legacy series, but also a wonderful introduction to the Noble family if you haven't read the first two books.

Book Review for "Finding Stefanie" by Susan May Warren,
This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
This was the first book I have read by author Susan May Warren, but it won't be the last if I have anything to say about it.
The characters in this book were life-like and believable. I found myself thinking about them when I was away from the book. The thing I liked most about the characters is that they weren't perfect (just like the rest of us flawed human beings). The hero of the book is atypical in so many ways, which I love and find fascinating. I always appreciate it when I can find a strong spiritual thread in a work of Christian fiction. This book did not let me down. Throughout the storyline, there were glimpses of God's grace and truth. In my opinion, that is what makes or breaks a Christian novel for me. Finding Stefanie is the third book in the Noble Legacy series, but is a complete book in itself. (Characters from the first two books are referenced in this novel.) Now I can't wait to go back and read the first two!

Better than expected!,

This review is from: Finding Stefanie (Noble Legacy Series #3) (Paperback)
First of all, I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about Finding Stefanie when I first heard about it. I mean, I'm not generally into Hollywood "pretty-boy" characters. BUT...I love Susan May Warren, so it has to be good! Of course my skepticism flew right out the window early in the book.
For such a page-turning romance story, the suspense and conflict had me guessing and waiting just as much. It was so full of depth and dealt with a variety of issues like stereotypes, insecurities, trust, forgiveness, coping problems, being haunted by the past, and realizing better dreams. We see some characters who seem to have it all together on the outside but are fighting a huge battle on the inside and how trusting God pulls them through further than they could have imagined. I found myself thinking about how I needed to learn some of the same lessons as the characters. Susan did a great job with the characters and once again she did not disappoint. This is the third book in the Noble Legacy series. Finding Stefanie can definitely be read as a stand-alone book. However, if you don't want the endings of the previous two books spoiled you need to read them in order. |
