I used it myself when I was in the process of dissolving my third marriage and realized that something needed to change. What I discovered was that thing that needed to change was me!

I used Kingma's book as one of two to take me through the process of self-examination and renewed hope. The four keys that she proposes are faith, intention, trust and surrender. Each section on a particular key is broken down into chapters with exercises to do within each chapter. The book is enlivened by stories about people that Kingma has known in her psychotherapy practice.

Daphne really is a rose in how she explains love is to the world. The beautiful book not only talks about the barriers to love, it also recommends ways to believe in it before its physical manifestation. If you are struggling with patience over meeting your true love (and you do have much more than one soulmate out there) ... Kingma's wisdom is for you.

I bought this book after the end of a marriage. I send out to create a true marriage for myself and with the help of this book, I did so. I now have the finest marriage and relationship I've ever had and probably the among the best of most marriages I see. I say this with humility because luck and the vagaries of life make it hard to have a good marriage. It also takes work to prepare yourself to find and be worthy of a real mature love. This book is a great companion for those determined to make it happen, or to have a great life even if it doesn't happen. A wise work.
