Thw Word on Finding and Using Your Spiritual Gifts is one of the best resources out there in teaching spiritual gifts to your Youth Ministry. I am the Director of my church's Spiritual Gifts Ministry and when asked to provide a session to our youth, the Youthbuilders Series was the first place I looked. It includes single interactive exercises as well as group exercises. I would highly recommend this book!

OK, let me first go on record by saying that I loath "curriculum." Every one that I've tried have all had the same problems, and this book is no exception. The first problem is unrealistic time frames. Do you honestly expect to give a handful of teens a sheet full of questions that either require them to look up passages or, worse yet, THINK, and have them complete it in 10 to 15 minutes? If so, please tell me where I can find these kids. Kind of along the same lines of timing issues is the overall length of the course. You seriously do not need 13 weeks to cover this material. I was bored to death just looking over the teacher portions and the kids were all but asleep while going through the material. And before you say it, NO, it's definitely NOT the teacher. This is an exception to the norm. I completely get the idea of trying to break down complicated subject matter into easily digestible bites for teens, but sheesh! Give it a rest already! Redundancy doesn't even begin to describe it. Look, if you've used curriculum in the past and it has worked, this might be worth looking in to. Just have extremely low expectations and you won't be disappointed. If nothing else, go through the entire book and put your own program together based on the concepts in this book, but condensed into about a maximum 3 hours worth of teaching.
