About the Author

Sandra Lee Jamison received her B.A. from Stony Brook University in 1979, completed the M.L.S. program at Columbia University and graduated with a Masters in Library Services in 1989. She has worked for the New York Times, Essence and Time magazine, and has been a panelist and speaker at journalism and communications workshops. She provided library and research strategy for Arthur Ashe's A Hard Road to Glory: A History of the African-American Athlete. She lives in New York City.
