Clark and Skouras use many terms to describe a loved one, from essence contact, to soulmates, to deep ease, to divine love. Then they add several deeper possibilities: hyper or liquid love, magical self, perfect love and fusion. A relationship can be measured on the "loveometer" to show the percentage of merger. It is this percentage that determines the nature of the relationship.

The authors list several techniques to help you attract your perfect love. These include channeling, therapies, affirmations, support groups and transformational dreaming. To attract souls (usually from past lives), you need a sense of "havingness," high self-esteem and intent.
