Found this book very helpful. It reminds you what an abuser is and how he thinks... helps you realize what needs to be done to stop the abuse. You can't stop him, but you can get out. It was what I needed to hear. Gave me hope that I can stop being so nice and being concerned about him -- rather than myself.Domestic abuse is not easy to understand, even if you've been abused for decades. In all the confusion and the abuser's denial and lies, you need to hear positive words that give you hope. It has been a wonderful, uplifting book that makes me think that although it will be tough, I can survive.
