Book Description

What if the assumptions you‘ve made about how to live a good life were inaccurate? What if, despite doing everything you thought was right in life, you still wound up unhappy? What if the life plan your parents, peers, or society thought was best for you, isn’t the kind of life you really wanted to live? Imagine waking up one day and realizing you’ve lived your life the wrong way, only it’s too late to do anything about it. It should never have to be this way.

Broken down into twenty-five essential life lessons that focus on relationships, careers, health, and life in general, Finding Your Way to Happy will help you answer the question: “Am I living my life the right way?” while there is still time to do something about it.

Don’t be fooled by common misconceptions about life and happiness that most people never bother to question. Read and find out why:
* Financial success isn’t a prerequisite to happiness
* Your genetics don’t always have your best interests in mind
* People don’t change without extraordinary effort
* Nothing very bad lasts for very long
* Happiness doesn’t have to be complicated

Filled with actionable advice on how to find happiness and meaning in today’s world, Finding Your Way to Happy provides the knowledge you need to make smarter life choices, and helps you avoid saying those dreaded words: if I only knew then what I know now.

Hal Urban, Author of Life's Greatest Lessons
"Brad Anastasia has two precious commodities: common sense and wisdom. And he shares both of them beautifully in this insightful and easy-to-read book. While the lessons will teach some readers about what's important, they'll remind others about what's important."

5.0 out of 5 stars Well Done August 24, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed your book! Well done, thoughtful, good nuggets to enhance my personal happiness. I'm impressed. Even after the 25 lessons were done, you included some extra ones at the end which were worthwhile as well...All were good suggestions of things we should either start doing or reinforcers of things we may already know but haven't really put into practice. Brad, keep up the good and positive work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Potentially life-altering... August 16, 2012
Format:Paperback
This book is sure to enrich your life and the lives of others. Finding Your Way to Happy is honest and concise, lending the qualities of having a conversation with an old friend. Despite being relatively young, Brad Anastasia offers practical guidance from the perspective of a matured life. Anastasia encapsulates the difficulties many face in the pursuit of happiness, drawing from personal turning points in life--which are often reflective, though a bit nostalgic. Your own experiences and mind-set set the emotional tone for the reception of the contents in this book gifting each person with an insightful, at times almost overwhelmingly thought-provoking, read.

I will highly recommend Finding Your Way to Happiness. I enjoyed it so much I was quoting from the book and telling my friends about it... a true motivator, Truly empowering. A Reminder that is never too late to make changes and more importantly to do or achieve what makes us happy as individuals.
I enjoyed the style of the author. Brad Anastasia expresses a life's worth of lessons from his own experience which is great for readers to identify themselves with the author and topic; easy to comprehend. I wanted to read more every time I pick it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Nudge Towards Fearlessness and Authenticity July 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
In this book, Anastasia lays out twenty-five life lessons accumulated from his own hard-won experience, the wisdom of the ages, and his finely honed intuition. The advice is very practical and avoids being overly prescriptive or reductive, which is one of the real strengths of the book. As the title suggests, the purpose is to help you find YOUR way to happy, not someone else's, and the author's method is straightforward and easy to follow. In each lesson, Anastasia identifies beliefs and behaviors that people commonly adopt, whether consciously or unconsciously, then subjects those commonly held beliefs and behaviors to an informal but rigorous analysis to demonstrate that they do not lead to a happy or fulfilling life. Among the many fallacies he tackles are the belief that you should plan to be happy in the future instead of being happy now, that wealth and success correlate with happiness, and that it's unconditionally valuable to have a large group of friends or admirers. Anastasia then offers suggestions and exercises designed to help you reprogram your approach to real-world situations so you can learn to make choices that will be more in line with who you really are, which always leads to greater satisfaction and fulfillment.

Not everyone will find 100% of every lesson useful, but there's enough wisdom in this concise and well-written book that everyone should read it. Anastasia's voice rings out as a beacon of sanity in a world where values have been turned on their heads, and he'll feel like a trustworthy guide and ally as you try to trade in the failed systems you've adopted for a more fearless and authentic way of life.
