We purchased this to wash our wool diaper covers, and it does a great job. It's quite gentle, has a nice smell, and contains lanolin to help keep the diaper covers from leaking. We still have to lanolize the covers, but we only do that about once a month.
I would recommend this for any wool products, especially those that are hand wash only or need to be lanolized periodically.

My wool covers for cloth diapers are very delicate, so I chose to wash with Euclean. I was specifically told not to use commercial fabric washes, such as Woolite, so the best option was Euclean. Works great...especially when using with a lanolin to lanolize wool soakers with cloth diapers. I like this product and it will now be my go-to wool wash!

I got this to wash my wool diaper covers. It gets them clean and they smell so nice. At the time I ordered this only the lavender scent was available and I wasn't sure how I'd like it but it's a very pleasant smell and not perfumey at all. It makes my hands smell good as well! Definitely will order more.

I purchased this to wash my wool cloth diaper covers. It has such a nice, but subtle smell and I like that I don't have to rinse. I just press the excess water out after a good soak and move on to lanolizing them. A small bottle is all you really need. A little will go a very long way.

I knitted a hat for a friend's birthday, but after I finished it, I realized that it was a bit too itchy. I wanted my gift to be less torturous to wear, and after some searching, found that this product might be the solution. After washing, the hat was much softer, and I was much more comfortable giving it to my friend. I do recommend testing for colorfastness before using (which the label also recommends). My hat was comprised of like-colors, and was fine, but the water was discolored afterward. The hat retained a "yarn" smell, which was especially noticeably while it was wet; I will probably buy one of the scented varieties in the future for my own knitted items, but the gift was for a guy, and I didn't want it to smell flowery.

Love this stuff! I am trying to avoid harsh chemicals and the dry cleaners, due to environmental and health issues. I have used this to hand wash dozens of items and it does a wonderful job. I find that a little goes a long way. I use about a capful or less, let the item soak for 15 minutes or so and that's it! No rinsing required. I have also used it full strength on a Q-tip to remove stains prior to washing. Works quite well as a pre-treater/ stain remover. I diluted a capful in a spray bottle of water and use it as a fabric refresher on pillows, area rugs and the dog bed. Leaves a light, pleasant scent behind that doesn't linger. I thought it was expensive for such a small bottle but after a ton of washes, I still have over a half a bottle left. Well worth the cost. I may try a different scent next time, but will definitely stick with this brand. Great stuff!

This review is from: 'Eucalan Fine Fabric Wash (3.3 Ounce) in your choice of scents (Kitchen)
I have been learning to knit over the last year and while my projects are still very basic, they are much improved upon by being washed in Eucalan eucalyptus wash.
Just a 15 minute soak seems to soften most of the yarns I find without draining the color or leaving a nasty smell. I also like not having to rinse the items. Just pull the plug and knead the water out before hanging/blocking/whateva! |
