I stumbled across this book in the children's section of our local library. Author and illustrator Ruth Heller describes her childhood and daily life, which are accompanied by photos and drawings. Her gentle prose shows the reader how her life has influenced her work and how that work influences her life, in terms of travels, meeting children, etc. A lovely book for anyone interested in children's books authors/illustrators.
