5.0 out of 5 stars Spitvalves do it again, November 12, 2003
This review is from: Fine Print at the Botton (Audio CD)
I love the Spitvalves. I love a lot of ska, but I have to say that Spitvalves, Save Ferris and Dance Hall Crashers are my favourites. This is another great release, packed with energy and blending hardcore punk and ska seamlessly. You have to
get it!!!!!!

Spitvalves are the best plain and simple. From begging to end this album is agressive as hell. Spitvalves rivals thier influences such as the bosstones. You cant like ska and not like spitvalves. If you get a chance go see one of thier shows thier garunteed to make you move like you never had. So stop read and BUY THIS ALBUM.

5.0 out of 5 stars More great music from the Spitvalves, May 5, 2001

For years the Spitvalves have been putting out their own music in Orlando...On the re-release of their new CD, Fine Print at the Bottom, you will find more of what everyone in Orlando has come to expect from the Spitvalves over the last 7 years...great ska-core music, with a blending of everything from funk, to metal, to hip-hop...On every track Charlie belts out his vocals while Mike Cortes rips through with his guitar riffs...Also the horn section plays with a deep down intensity, while not lossing site of the fact that they are having fun...Tito on drums keeps the band pumping with his blend of funk and syncopated rhythms tied in with Lances bass lines...Anyone who has never heard of the Spitvalves should take a listen to the previews of the tracks...I have had this album since they first released it themselves, and every song on the album grows on you over time...

5.0 out of 5 stars THE ENERGY TURNS ME ON, January 12, 2002

I recently had the privilage of meeting the band. The show was running late, and the true fans were seperated from the wannabies when the first song was being played, and the crowd couldn't have been more than 30 (when earlier it had been hundreds). The mood was more of a practice for a bunch of friends rather than a show. Everyone was singing along, punching the air to the beats and the whole crowd was moving (Thanks to the Spitvlaves abiltiy to rock so hard it's impossible to be within earshot and keep standing still). After their set, I walked up to the lead singer to thank him for rocking. He was the single most down to earth person in the scene that I've ever met. We talked about Orlando, my plans on moving there and college. He offered me free tickets to a concert in Orlando the next day. This band is going places. With their talent and drive, they're sure to make more fans....

5.0 out of 5 stars Oi to the Spitcrew, December 19, 2001
This review is from: Fine Print at the Botton (Audio CD)
Living in Orlando myself, I'm used to sucky pop or punk wannabes. I was so stoked to get turned onto the Spitvalves a year ago. The CD is totally awesome, it is skacore at its finest. All of the guys are great, and it comes close to capturing that live show raw energy. So, be brave and give them a listen, I'm sure you will not be dissapointed

5.0 out of 5 stars Spitvalves will rule the world!, December 9, 2001

Ahh, there is so much to say about this wonderfully unique band, where do I begin? How about the fact that they are classically trained to ROCK YOUR EFFING SOCKS OFF!? Their eclecticly influenced music, hardcore energy, and their rock-star good looks is enough to make any tough, testosterone-pumped male turn into a crazy dancing fool. You'll never regret going to one of their shows because they make every person in the audience feel like their #1 fan. There aren't too many bands that can make you want to skank and thrash at the same time. That's somethin' special! So buy their CD and get your dancin' groove on! IT'S GOOOOD STUFF!

Plain Incredible CD with nonstop upbeat rythims. I tried to go and see them at the new CD release concert but when I searched for tickets they were already sold out.
