A Fine Time! condenses the highlights of the Minaret Record label, whose brief heyday lasted from 1967-1970. Only a handful of these tunes break the three-minute barrier but all pack a wallop as powerful as sides from the prime of the Atlantic or Stax labels.

The booklet's extensive liner notes detail the background for the obsessive, but all soul- music fans will thrill to this set's sparkling sound quality and previously buried treasures.
