Customer Reviews

Wooden handle is strong and plastic forks are seem to be sturdy.

After the pellets break down, this fork is perfect and does a much more thorough job of cleaning.

It works best with sawdust or fine shavings in a stall, also good for cleaning in the sand arena.

Since we use very fine sawdust, this is the best fork available and you will save time as it picks out even the very small pieces of manure that the horse had scattered in the stall. The stall is very, very clean when you're done and you don't waste a lot of time chasing horse balls around. I didn't give it 5 stars because every single one of these forks has the same problem. As you use it, the tines on the right side start breaking off. The main tine on the edge does not break, but you have this large gap on the right and everything falls through. We have 5 of these forks hanging on the wall of the stable side by side. Every single one except the brand new one has the same pattern of breakage. The last one I bought lasted 5 months and then started breaking. Also, they do not make a replacement head available so you have to spend the money & buy a whole fork.

This is a good product. However, the outer tines tend to break off with continued use, thus limiting its useful life.

I bought this fine-tined manure fork to clean up after a horse that totally tramples their manure into their shavings. I use the Easy Pick or Quick Pick type shavings over rubber mats. Unfortunately when you pick up the manure and give the fork a shake the manure is already smashed thin and goes right through the fine-tines too. It is much heavier than a regular (dura-fork type) manure fork so it gets tiring trying to sift the manure from the shavings. Also the end of the handle is really rough and needs to be sanded smooth or you'd better wear gloves. Might work better for pony sized manure that isn't smashed flat. I keep going back to my lighter manure fork even though you can get two piles in this fork basket before dumping in the wheelbarrow - just too heavy for my liking.

If you use mini- flake shavings in your horse stalls, this is a must! Removes the manure and not the shavings. Keeps your stalls clean and prolongs shaving use.

Love this pitch fork!! My dry lot area is rock dust screenings and also have screenings on my arenas. This fork gets up everything including the little stuff without compromising your footing. Also good for sifting out the occasional rock and even fairly decent on llama poop!

Doesn't quite get them all, though and it is a little bit on the heavy side. But it is great and I'd recommend it to anyone who mucks horse stalls!

We have used these forks in our barn for years and they are by far, the best stall fork on the market, if you are particular about how your stalls look after they have been cleaned. There are cheaper imitation forks out there but the tines are a little wider spaced and allow the smaller pieces to fall through where the Fine Tine sifts those smaller pieces out. In my opinion, these forks are worth every single penny that I pay for them and I won't use anything else to clean our stalls with.

Definitely recommend this item. My mare circles her stall all night pulverizing her manure. This is the only rake that comes close to getting everything.

If you don't really care what condition your horses stalls are in then this rake is not for you as there is a fair amount of shaking to get the shavings out but if you really want a clean stall then this us perfect.

You may need to process your pellets fully as some got stuck in the tines.
