It will surprise you,

This review is from: Fine Waters: A Connoisseur's Guide to the World's Most Distinctive Bottled Waters (Hardcover)
I was intrigued by this book when I heard about it on NPR a few years ago. It did not disappoint. Politics aside, this book is well researched and should be read by those interested in history and culture, as well as a curiosity on why certain waters pleasure our senses. I am not above drinking tap water and don't profess to be a bottled water snob but always wondered why certain bottled waters appealed to me over others.Yes, I've heard the remarks you can't tell the difference in bottled waters. Well after reading this book you will have a knowledge of what to look for in water, and how to select based on personal preference. This book did a wonderful job in rating and describing the waters. It also helped me in selecting wines.

Such vitriol from other reviewers! I think this a fun book if you're into bottled waters like me. The best bottled water I ever tasted was Badoit in Paris. One of the finest mineral waters plus rare outside of France. Lots of fun facts, history, minerality, and origin. Makes a nice addition to any cooking or bar book.

well, the book is just like a catalog, not much content. And the number of mineral water introduced is quite limited too.

Goes into in-depth analysis of all the components of taste and flavour..
Can't include them all, but great sampling of waters across the globe.
