A rare book on Vietnamese paintings,

The scarcity of comprehensive hardback books on the specific subject of 20th century Vietnamese paintings earns this title its high grade. Artist biographies are well written, though sometimes too briefly, and a balanced visual illustration of paintings is given. There are also a couple of interesting essays on the subject at the beginning of the book. One point of improvement could be the editing of the form of the book; its contents are unrivalled. Galerie La Vong, in Hong Kong, is a must if you appreciate contemporary Vietnamese paintings.
