About the Author

Ooze is the only digital humor publication written by seven year-old children and their pet monkey. Authors MJ Loheed, Matt Patterson, and Eddie Schmidt have engaged in both humorous and some not-so-funny media projects. Mr. Loheed finished directing his first feature film, Mr. Patterson stares at a computer screen, and Mr. Schmidt was nominated for a 2005 Academy Award for Best Documentary. Go Figure.

I WAS ALWAYS NERVOUS ABOUT FLIPPING THE BIRD, BUT KNOW I NOW IT IS NORMAL. THIS BOOK IS AWESOME AND TEACHES YOU THAT THE MIDDLE FINGER IS NORMAL

Did you ever stop to think that if you gave someone the "thumbs up" in Italy it would have a less than desired effect? Nay, it would be detrimental. Instead of encouraging and rewarding its recipient, the upturned thumb is in fact a rude command, beseeching whomsoever sees it to do unspeakable things with their thumb: things requiring the use of a handy wipe when finished. This and other extremely interesting and useful facts can be gleaned by the readers of this highly insightful monograph. I give it one finger up!

Surprisingly readable, and well-designed book about the middle finger and the history of "the bird."

I was a bit dubious that this topic could carry a whole book, but in fact, it does.

Fun and irreverent. Fingers up from me.
