My 7 year old daughter started to play violin a few months ago. We bought a used instrument from a friend and it had position tapes on it already. My daughter had a hard time with the tone and putting her fingers on the right spot on each tape. The tape is pretty wide so tone can vary quite a bit depending on where exactly on the tape finger goes. I saw this on amazon and decided to give it a try. My daughter's tone improved amazingly! Her teacher also liked this sticker. The lines on this sticker are very thin and tone is just what it needs to be. It's a great aid for beginner. Another positive is that normal tapes are somewhat thicker and raised. This is one clear sheet/sticker so the lines cannot be felt by fingers like when taped. It gets the player used to playing and feeling the way it will be later....without the lines on fingerboard.
