A gem of a book for recreating 20s & 30s hairstyles.
This book gives step by step instruction including diagrams.
Im not a hairdresser but with help from a friend these looks are pretty straight forward and achievable, and without this book I would not have had a clue.

I received this wonderbook and am very happy that now I have more choices in performing a fingerwave than just what is taught in Cosmetology School.
I found it very informative and have added skills to my resume with the help of this book.
I would recommend it to Anyone!

Another book that I bought to have information on ol'timey looks to keep on the shelf in my salon. I want clients to look, be inspired, ask questions, see how the past inlfuences our looks of today. Happy to have this book as a reference. Amazing seeing how much has changed and how much has come back. Love it.

Finding all things 1920's and 1930's fascinating, this little book is a time capsule. Originally purchased for my hairdresser, this book is an indepth look at a time gone by...or not! Every once in awhile, the retro look surfaces on the red carpet. Historical, hysterical look at vintage techniques and the price women pay to be beautiful. Shades of Zelda Fitzgerald. Loved it!

Maybe I am just used to the way how-to books on contemporary style are written, but this guide is written in language as old (but not as eloquent) as the hairstyles discussed. I remember thinking how ridicules some sentence constructions were... It is sort of informative though, if you've never attempted this before, then this book is a good start if you can stand the language. Be warned however, nothing too special about it. I am however still in search of a book on how to achieve specific flapper look!
