These are solos, *not* duets. Music three ways, September 20, 2007
This review is from: A Fingerstyle Guitar Christmas (Paperback)
Just a response to one of the previous reviews: These are not duets, as one reviewer complained.
There is simply the music printed three ways; the music in standard notation (with melody), a line of tab below, and the melody line only (with chord designations and lyrics) above. Having the melody line only printed separately makes it only look like duet arrangement.
I haven't played any of this yet, but having the music three different ways is an incredibly useful feature.

Good-sounding arrangements that aren't hard to play, November 16, 2009
This review is from: A Fingerstyle Guitar Christmas (Paperback)
I've been flatpicking rock 'n roll guitar for the better part of 30 years but have only recently made my first forays into fingerstyle playing. I wanted to learn some Christmas songs and found that flatpicking just wasn't giving me the sort of "rich" sound the material called for. Enter this book, which is a mere 64 pages long but is, in my opinion, a very good value for the money.
Arranger Marcel Robinson has done a fantastic job, creating arrangements that are surprisingly lush without being particularly difficult to play. The guitar parts are presented in standard notation and TAB, along with the melody line in standard notation with chords notated above the staff. So you could play the guitar part as written, or just strum the chords and sing along, or use the score as a "lead sheet" for your own arrangements.
Buy this book now, start practicing and by the time the holidays roll around, you'll be ready to entertain friends and family with some great Christmas music.

Great Christmas Fingerstyle Book, December 6, 2006
This review is from: A Fingerstyle Guitar Christmas (Paperback)
Fingerstyle Guitar Christmas is a great way for the beginner/intermediate player to get in to fingerstyle guitar because the arrangements sound great without being too difficult. All songs are in standard and guitar tab notation and have been arranged for solo guitar.
This book contains interesting arrangements to classic Christmas songs that make even an average player like myself sound like a pro.
