Gotta Love Mr. Spence
Once again it has the most extensive coverage for any homeowner. For the weekend warrior to the pros his books are that good. I wouldn't think of ever selling mine. If I ever had to get rid of it... I'd give it to someone I loved!

Broadly covers the essentials
Good book for an overview, and covers a very broad range of construction and finish carpentry. Good value. The pictures are basic black and white but is clear enough. There isn't quite enough detail to single handedly do some of the more complicated jobs (eg: stairs) unless you have reasonable prior experience.
