First of all if this was matching description then it would get all five stars from me. I was surprized how well it was packaged to avoid damage by Shipping&"mis"Handling people. Assembly was easy, but here come snags:

If you specify black and offer extra stools then make sure the product is black. The extra stool was really black, but the set could be considered black by color blind people only. It is dark cherry as if someone put too much thinner to the black paint and wood made it it redish color. The color... we liked it this way, but then you should not offer it as black.

Also one of sides was split on arrival so I had to use Gorilla glue to correct this. Also manufacturer should quality control elements as one did not have holes to mount leg. As I did not feel like using table with three mounted legs only and being a bit crafty man with driller I made those missing holes. It would be nice however to use those hex keys sent with the package only.

Other than that I liked this solid (or high density) wood . We spend a lot of tme at this table with nice halogen lighting over it. It looks cool and makes place cozy. I recommend this piece of furniture, but please do not expect it to be black or to have all holes in place.

I recently moved into a very small apartment...this set is just perfect,just what I was looking for. I love it! It has the drop-leaves,so I pull them up and have extra table for guests. The stools are very comfortable and the best thing is the extra storage( bigger than it looks in the picture) that I need!The counter height adds some dimension, and I love the color.
However, I was fortunate to have someone to put it together..and fix it. One stool's leg came broken..and the storage compartment needed fixed,also. Nothing major...not enough to send it back...Other than that, this is a great set!

The table is gorgeous once you put it together. I had a bit of difficulty because the directions are written in a seemingly complicated way. Other than that- it is great! I contacted the seller and they offered to call me and work me through the assembly. I had already put it together so it wasn't necessary, but I was so happy that they offered. Its hard to get that kind of customer service now-a-days.
This is great if you have a smaller kitchen- it actually made our small kitchen look bigger.

I was a little leary buying thus table at first to be honest. We didn't want to waist our money on something cheap. Putting it together was super easy. Very very good quality and super durable. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a very attractive table and chairs.

I had been looking at this table for a few months...I looked everywhere but couldn't find anything we liked as much in this price range. Because of the reviews, I decided to go ahead and get it. (We don't normally order furniture online). The table was packaged incredibly well and this piece is made from REAL WOOD. Not the cheap stuff. It's really beautiful. It took my husband and I about 1 hour to get it together..it wasn't too bad of an assembly and was pretty easy. The saddle stools are comfortable and sturdy.

I admit, I was concerned, after reading the other reviews about what I might actually receive but I couldn't be happier! The set is a nice, dark black and is slightly higher than my counter, but only by an inch or so. Putting it together took about two hours - I wasn't rushing and didn't take any breaks to let the dog out or anything. My only issues: you will need a phillips screwdriver (a small one - it isn't provided) and I needed a slightly larger allen wrench to complete the stools (the screws for the stools became slightly stripped and having an allen wrench one size larger enabled me to finish both stools up with no problem. The larger allen wrench isn't provided. Aside from those tiny things - putting everything together was a snap! It looks wonderful in my tiny kitchen - the two stools fit under the table perfectly (without raising either drop leaf). The storage underneath is small (maybe enough to hold a blender and coffee maker - it's not very big) and it's enclosed by TWO doors - the doors are on opposite sides of each other, so if put too much in there (yes like I did!), the opposite side will "pop" open. The doors close with magnetic fasteners. I'm more than satisfied with my purchase!

I had just bought a new house and the dining area is not that big. This table is the PERFECT fit for me. Pretty easy to assemble and the final product was great. I also bought the 29 inch saddle stools for the bar area and am very pleased with them also. If you have a smaller area this table is great, not only with the drop down sides but the storage doors underneath is a definite bonus!

Poor quality i guess its true you get what you pay for. One of the stools was broken the frame was joined with a plug on a knot. One of the doors does not close. Not worth the headache...

I couldn't wait for this drop leaf table to get here and I am NOT disappointed! It came packaged so well and there was not one scratch on it. It fits so well in my tiny space and looks so elegant but it looks like 4 people will have plenty of room. My husband said it took 2 men to get it out of the FedEx truck (shows the heaviness of it). He did say a few of the wooden dowels were broken during shipping but nothing major. For the money, this is a GREAT table; it's so much sturdier than I thought it would be. I put red place mats, white plates, a back bowl on the white plate, a black dinner napkin and a clear glass vase in the middle, and wah la!!! Beautiful! The 2 stools are also very sturdy. Can you tell yet? I LOVE IT! Well worth the money!!
