GREAT chain lube, even for a lazy maintainer,

Sorry, but I don't trust anything but a wet lube to protect my chain in the wet Portland weather. And this lube does the job! I commute twenty miles each day over (mostly) paved streets (with three blocks of pure dirt). I'm terrible at maintenance - I lube my chain maybe every 60 or 90 days, and I have never really cleaned it. But this lube sees me through, despite my bad habits.
Apply it heavily, let it soak in, and wipe off the excess. You are now good to go in a rainy urban environment for months! If you normally ride in wet dirt then you probably know this is not the product for you. But, if you ride on rainy streets, you cannot do better!

I was using Tri flow super lubricant with teflon and I was having problems in the cold and wet conditions. basically it wasn't working at all. Id apply in the morning and on my way home my chain would be locking up. in comes finish line.
works much better in cold or wet conditions and lasts awhile. I think I might like it better than using teflon for all conditions. I have to do a direct comparison to be for sure but as of now I like the finish line wet lube. as far as which lubricates better, id have to go with finish-line wet lube. UPDATE: I love this stuff. I do, however, think that it does draw a little more dirt and grime than tri flow, but not by much. Never the less, the chain needs to get cleaned fairly often, at least by my standards. Seeing this I decided to try Finish Line DRY Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube. That stuff is DRY, let me tell you. Definitely does not work as well in the rain or cold and doesn't last half as long but the chain stays MUCH cleaner. You'd need to apply more often but clean much less which is VERY convenient. I use the wet lube in rain, snow and cold weather. I use the Dry lube for dry, dusty conditions. Boise is very dry so right now I use the Dry stuff more. But, as far as which lubes better in a controlled environment, I'd say the wet lube does a slightly better job.

This is a great product, it goes on easily and keeps my chain silent and lubed for hundreds of miles.

This is a good product but I didn't actually get the cross country lube. I got the Finish Line Wet Lube. I'm pretty sure that that the Wet Lube the replacement to the cross country lube. Also, I didn't realize I ordered a 2oz lube bottle. It is TINY. Make sure you at least get a 4oz bottle if you want it to last. This lube is good, it just wasnt the lube that was shown in the picture.

Great lube,

This lube goes on and cleans up easily, and since applying it my bike ride has been much smoother and quieter (the chain doesn't make a sound when switching gears). I haven't used it in wet weather, so I can't comment about that, but I think this makes a good general chain lube.

I've tried this on a couple of rides and found it to be a very effective chain lubricant. It's viscous, sticky, and keeps the chain moving smoothly. The downside is that it is messy and difficult to clean up. It will transfer to your clothes and it will deposit chunks of goo on your sprockets.

I commute to work by bike doing a total of 18 miles a day. Where I live most of the days are rainy days so that puts a lot of stress/maintenance effort on the bike. Since I started using this chain lube I have a problem less to take care of. It last a lot, the chain sounds good so I'm happy with this lube. Will keep using it.

I bought the "8-ounce" version shown here. The picture shows a plastic bottle, but when it showed up, it was actually a 7-ounce aerosol spray. I was initially quite disappointed, and nearly returned it unused. However, my bike chains were in terrible shape so I gave it a go. The aerosol sprays on and turns to green foam on the chain. The instructions say to let it sit for a while and to remove the excess with a towel. I let it sit for about 5 minutes and wiped off the excess. There was significant improvement immediately, but it took a while for the lubrication to penetrate deep into the chain. By the next day, the chains were riding like new.
The climate here is very wet, and we use our bikes to ride _through_ the local streams, and this lubrication has really held up nicely!

Good stuff, just watch the usage,

This is good stuff. I commute in the NW so I ride in the rain a lot. It does just as advertised and lasts a long time however make sure especially with a wet lube that you're not applying too much to the chain (maybe one drop where each link connects) and wipe the chain thoroughly after application because this stuff will attract a lot of dirt and gunk to your chain if you use it too liberally. Leaving dirt on your chain is a good way to wear your chain out quickly and if you're not careful, you'll wear out your cassette cogs also.

I had a bit of a rusty chain that was starting to make a bit of noise, and I put this on - a month later, and there's still no sound. I even put a bit in my rusting Kryptolock that was getting harder and harder to open, and now it opens smoother than I ever remember it opening. Both lock and bike are outside in New England weather 24/7, so that was important.
