Counterfit is a great emo band out of San Diego. This is there second release and if you have found thier first ("On the Downside"), consider yourself lucky. This quartet is an electrifying band with great emo riffs. If you ever get a chance to see them live (and yes, they do play all around the nation so just look for them at your local club), go do it. They are some of the most passionate musicians I have ever scene. I recomend this cd to anyone who enjoys good emo music.

man...counterfit is just really good. Their melodies are good, their shows are goood....i mean u never get tired of their music! I play it in my car over and over because all the song are so nice to listen to while you are cruising. :D

Counterfit is a must have: It has great lyrics, creative sounds, and really personal singing. I love this band and reccoment it to anyone looking for an upbeat, change of pace album.

Counterfit is so awesome. if you ever get the chance to see them live, it's totally worth it. besides being absolutely entertaining live, counterfit also has a really great album. New Year is my favorite song, but all the songs are really good. if you have the cash to get this cd, do it, because it's well worth the money. they have really meaningful lyrics, excellent guitar and are just really well put together. GET THE CD!

(...), this album is awesome and highly recommended. Its melodic enough for the songs to stick in your head but there's also heavier guitars and well, its just yummy. And the vocals of course are really good too. This is the former singer of Connecticut hardcore band Sum of All Fears. If you like The Get Up Kids or any bigger bands like them I recommend Counterfit to you. They're recording a full length in December 2001 so look out for that too!

this cd blew me away -- then I was lucky enough to find their first EP, "On the Downside" and the feeling was mutual -- both are amazing records, and I can't wait for the full-length!

This is a great EP for anyone to add to their Emo collection! The songs are well structured with the right melodies and emotion to make this a must have for any emo fan!

Counterfit is the best live act I have ever seen! It's evident that these guys practice and this album is no exception.

With this release counterfit slowed down a pace from their ep "on the downside." technical dual guitars mix with an even blend of power chords and innovative drumming to produce a very accessable sound. I'd recommend this album to anyone getting into the so called "emo" genere. Justin Rodriguez's vocals command the listeners attention throughout the record. The lyrics are catchy and very easy to relate to. The band's attention to subtle details makes this album worth five stars. I honestly have no criticisms of this album!

These guys work hard and deserve to be heard! Buy this Album! There's a reason why everyone's giving it five stars!

Im a sucker for that mellow building up to heavy powerfull cliche
that is in about every rock song, but this band does it amazingly well. The songs and so well written it makes me... "from finish to starting line" is the highlight of the cd with great guitar playing and emotional energy. The songs are very catchy and just damn good rock and roll. Emo-rock that is. I would say this is for fans of promise ring, hot rod circuit, saves the day, jimmy eat world, at the drive in, and the getup kids. Just sooooo good.
