"The Finishing Touch" is a powerful devotional. Swindoll is one of the greatest communicators of our time and he reaches the depths of your heart with this daily devotional. He brings passages to life with his illustrations and they really hit home. If you read this with an open heart, a desire to be changed by the Lord's hand and the willingness to apply these devotions, you'll be blessed.

This is a great book for daily devotional. Provides a page or two of reading then gives Bible reference and closing thought. The book is organized according to the calendar year. So, the first of the book talks about starting out the new year and progresses from there. Classic Swindoll.

I work through a daily devotional each year and have been doing so for several years. I have worked through several devotionals written by well known and fine Christian authors, however this piece by Chuck Swindoll is the best I've read. This original book was updated and abridged with a later version under the title 'Day by Day' but I felt a lot was lost from the original book. If you cant get a new copy get a used version of the original book. Chuck speaks from the heart about real things we face and struggle with. He writes with an honesty and poignancy that is dis-arming, instructive, encouraging and rebukeful at the same time all of course done in grace. This is simply the best out there. I was in mid-life mediocrity some years ago and this book helped point me back to the truth of Gods Word. This is a must for all Christian men. I value it so much I will be purchasing copies for colleagues and friends. Cant praise it enough.

I love this devotional book and was looking for a copy to give to a friend...this copy was in great condition and just what I was looking for!
