Finn Comfort sandals--THE BEST--As was Amazin's Price!, May 29, 2011

I discovered Finn Comforts last summer while searching for shoes that I could wear in the summertime that were NOT my New Balance jogging shoes with orthotics. I read many reviews (why I'm writing this one, to pay it forward) and nobody had anything to say about Finn's but glowing reports. Except for price, of course. So I looked for a pair on sale and bought them. THEY ARE TRULY THE BEST. I have bad feet, bunion, high instep, have had foot pain for much of my adult life and needed orthotics to survive if I did ANY walking. So this is my 3rd pair. White were hard to find by the time I found these, and even so, this was THE BEST price on the web. Even after a long day wearing my New Balance (and don't get me wrong--they're wonderful, just not for all occasions) I slip on my Finns and my feet feel fine. They are well made and they have FABULOUS arch support. And with the hook and loop fasteners, you can work around bunions or a high instep. And these insoles come out if you insist on your orthotic. But I never have to wear mine in these. And the insoles are washable and replaceable! Yes, they cost, but you get what you pay for. I wear an 8 in a sandal, and I prefer the 39 size, though some sites advertise the 38's as 8-8.5 also. So you may have to decide if you need the 38 or 39 if you're an 8. But the European sizes are pretty accurate as to the American sizes they list next to it. Maybe I just like the 39 to make sure my bunion has plenty of room, or because my left foot is slightly larger than my right. Sorry this is so long, but I hope it helped. Finn Comforts won't disappoint!
