We chose the Pangur Ban stories as our "read aloud as a family before bed" books. They are wonderful for reading aloud - her writing is so evocative and lyrical. Stories are simple, characters do evolve, some classic mythic concepts. Our daughter is 10 and we do edit some of the harsher bits. Lovely little series.
