5.0 out of 5 stars Don't know why people don't LOVE these July 13, 2013
Verified Purchase
I just logged on to buy MORE of these cables, saw some of the negative reviews, and felt compelled to chime in. I've never written an Amazon review before, but the bottom line is - THESE ARE AWESOME!! They are inexpensive and do exactly what they look like they will do.

What's the story?
I live in a household with an iPhone 5, and iPhone 4, and two Samsung S4's. A couple months ago: I replaced all 4 'device specific' cords with these for about $25. Now we can charge any phone on any adapter. It might seem silly, but it seemed like a small price to get rid of one of life's little hassles.

What about the quality of the cords?
- the plastic on the cords, themselves, is a little thinner than the Apple and Samsung cords. That said:
- We have had these cables for about 2 months and found that all of the charging adapters work on all of the cables. They are durable 'enough' and - if one breaks, we'll drop another cup of coffee worth of $$ and replace it.

Can they charge multiple devices at the same time?
- Yes, but with one caveat: Take a careful look at the picture and, specifically, the shape of the connector on the end. I'm sure it is easy to picture an iPhone 5 and MicroUSB device (like a Samsung 4 or anything else that isn't Apple) attached at the same time. This is because the iPhone 5 and MicroUSB interfaces are OPPOSITE each other. On the other hand, the iPhone 4 connector is on the end. This makes it so - if you plug in an iPhone 4 to charge it, there isn't room to add an iPhone 5 or MicroUSB device at the same time.

I ordered 4 of these. 3 broke in the first month after receiving them. They are cheaply made and won't last very long.

4.0 out of 5 stars a bit cheap, but it's cheap June 14, 2013

the USB connector end is flimsy, with plastic cover over the wiring
coming off when you look at it, but it works, does the job and is extremely
useful in avoiding having to carry 2 or 3 cables around all the time.

1.0 out of 5 stars one out of three isnt bad, I guess May 31, 2013

Of the three prongs, the only one that works and actually charges is the lightning portion. I would return this thing, but the postage required is worth more than the product itself. Waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea in theory, but 4 out of 6 broke. September 13, 2013
By AP
The one star I gave is for the idea of having all three plugs on one cable. Excellent, and if someone could produce a version that worked as well as AmazonBasics USB A to Lightning Compatible Cable, it would be amazing. Unfortunately that's not the case. I purchased four of these Fintie 3-in-1 USB Data Sync & Charger Cables. Three of them just stopped working, one of them within days, one within weeks, and one after 2 months; all had light use. In addition, the casing at the USB end can easily separate from the actual USB, and frequently does, exposing the connective wires underneath. I can only assume this weakness is what caused the cables to fail, since at least 2 of the items showed fraying when the wires became exposed. The company replaced only two of the three. One of the replacements broke too soon after its arrival, and I didn't bother asking for another replacement. Of the total six cables I received, four failed. I highly recommend the AmazonBasics USB A to Lightning Compatible Cable instead. It's not a 3-in-1 and it costs a bit more, but it's well worth it. I wish I had spent my money on another of those than on these.

I gave this rating because out of the three ends of the cord the only one that worked was the micro USB end!

For my cable, the lightning cable stopped working after about a month of light use. Maybe it was defective, but the cable wasn't made with very high grade materials either. Read more
