The large size is still small enough to fit into a standard-issue coffee cup, and basically makes a bathtub for your tea leave to swim in while they're brewing.

Much better than the spoon version like this Norpro Grip-EZ Tea Infuser With Cup, or the over the cup with handle versions like this Norpro Decorative Tea Strainer with Cup. The spoon doesn't allow the tea leaves to drift about, and the handled baskets I'm always knocking over.

The mesh size on this strainer is also so fine that the finest loose herb tea (my personal fave, Desert Sage Tea by Republic of Tea Desert Sage Tea by The Republic of Tea - 2.8 oz loose) won't sift through the mesh and into your brew.

Might not fit your particular teacup/pot. But I doubt it! If you're worried, they have a smaller size. =)

This tea filter eliminates any tea debris from my morning cup. Easy to clean and durable. Turn the lid upside down to hold the filter as it is brought out of the mug. Medium can be used for 2-4 person tea pots as well as a mug. Large is perfect for large tea pots.

I purchased my first Finum Tea filter from a lovely tea shop in Vermont, at the recommendation of the shop owner. I found it so easy to use & clean that I bought more for Christmas gifts & another for myself. I have both the large & medium. The medium size is better for most of my mugs, and the large is good for pots of tea & travel mugs. I have used other tea filters, and haven't found any that work as well as the Finum. Some filters have holes that are too large & allow bits of tea to end up in the bottom of your cup, while others have holes that are so small that you have to pour water in very slowly so it won't overflow. If you are a fan of loose tea, I highly recommend this product!

I used this product the day I received it, and while I had a minor mishap with it, it was operator error, and not a problem with the product itself. It is nice and roomy with plenty of space for the tea to expand and move about, giving the tea a much fresher taste, for me anyway. I use this in my smaller kettle for hot tea, but I also use it in concert with a mesh tea ball for large pitches of sweet ice tea. The kettle I make the ice tea in is much larger, too larger for this filter, but it works wonderfully as a second strainer catching what as escaped from the mesh ball that I place in the kettle. It's more than large enough to hold on to while pouring the hot tea into the pitcher, making what was normally a very complicated process for fresh ice tea, much simpler and faster. I am quite pleased with this product, it's very versatile, and easy to use.

I have the cup size (medium) and just got the large size. It fits my 6 cup teapot
all the way to the bottom. The medium one was a little short and not big enough to let the large amount of tea you had to use fully expand. The large one was just the perfect size and all the leaves opened up. I have used these filters for about 3 years and they are amazing. My tea experience has been enhanced by using these filters. Amazon has the best prices and their shipping is the fastest ever. Thanks for carrying such great items.

I purchased this as an impulse, but it has been quite useful. I now find it much easier to use my loose teas. This filter, unlike the other ones I have, does an excellent job of brewing loose tea while not allowing any tea leaves to escape from the filter.

Have Finum tea filters in many sizes now! They are the best tea filters I've found. And the seller (Lana's Little House) is fantastic! Will definitely buy from her again.
