5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and entertaining March 23, 2010
Format:Paperback
A cute enjoyable story that either a child or an adult will enjoy. Like any child, human or faery, Fiona is naturally curious and that curiousity leads her into mischief.

As an adult, it was a wonderful breather from real life so this book isn't only for children. Kids will love to read about Fiona and her adventure. This is the type of story that will encourage children to read as it engages their imagination with the wonderfully creative world that Ms. Putnam has created.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delightful Children's Story May 26, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This was a pleasant surprise! A sweet children's story with a moral about listening to your elders & the consequences of morbid curiousity.

The photographs add to the story.

Over all, it brings back memories of stories I loved as a child.

A nice story to share with your children at bed time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiona Learns A Lesson. April 28, 2010
Format:Paperback
Fiona's Wings is an engaging and entertaining tale for children of all ages. Ms. Putnam draws the reader into the story by first establishing Fiona's special gift and her willful determination to be the little captain of her own ship in spite of Queen Aideen's warnings about the evil Hester!

I enjoyed the manner in which the author brought forth the imagery of Fiona's dreams as she ventured through the woods. Her use of photography is interesting and helps bring the story to life. I believe children are especially drawn to adventure stories that have life lessons or morals. There are several life lessons in this tale--which we all can learn from. A recommended read for all children.
