This is one of the best treatments of realistic alien contact and space combat in modern sci fi. Presents a unique and believable approach without losing a bit of drama or tension. Very well done!

This is one of the best military science fiction books written. Fast paced with beliveable characters and a diffrent approach to space combat.

This book is superb. I had trouble putting it down, and my only regret is that I finished it. While it takes full advantage of being *science* fiction, it doesn't focus on the fictional tricks, but instead on people living in a world where those things are just a matter of life. Unfortunately, this seems to be the last book Mr O'Donnell has published :(
