5.0 out of 5 stars In my opinion, this is Mrs. Jackson's best work yet!
I really think Brenda out did herself with this one! "Fire and Desire" has to be the best romance novel I have every read, and I have read a lot. Trevor and Corinthians are my ideal couple. They try their hardest to fight their feelings for one another to the very end until their love over shadow's everything else. I will not tell you the story but I will...

3.0 out of 5 stars Effficient but dull
Another author I decided to look into based on numerous glowing reviews and her prolific output. I took my time though because 5 star ratings as long as my arm don't mean everyone has to like the product.
What can I say? Not my cup of tea in the least. Reminded me too much of Mills and Boon novels: overly theatrical with a hint of childishness. This is the kind of...

I may be very bias because I am a fan of Mrs. Jackson, but this book is a must read. I have already reread it about eight times! Go ahead and order it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Trevor Grant, What a man, what a man, what a man!, May 12, 1999

(VINE VOICE)    (REAL NAME)
I had lamented the fact that there were no more Madaris men for Brenda Jackson to write about but family friend Trevor Grant is the next best thing. Trevor believes that after two years Corinthians (yes, as in the bible)is still carrying a torch for Dex Madaris, the man she had intended to seduce unaware that Trevor had taken his place in the hotel suite. The beautiful curvaceous Ms. Avery has been an indelible memory every since that time. But how is he going to get next to her? Corinthians can't stand Trevor, or so she tries to tell herself. That night she made a fool of herself and she is still humiliated by the whole experience, so... whenever she is in Trevor's company, she keeps the subject on geology and oil, strictly business. Then in the jungles of Brazil things get hot hot hot in more ways than one. Ms. Jackson has written another gem.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE ON FIRE, June 2, 2000
By

Talk about Fire and Desire. This book was really hot hot hot. You might remember the characters, Corinthians and Grant, from the book "Whispered Promises". This book was about Grant's best friend Dex Madaris, who was trying to get back together with his ex-wife Caitlan. Anyone who has read even one of the books in the Madaris series knows what I'm talking about. I knew that Grant and Corinthians were going to get their own story because there was so much passion between them from the beginning. It was well worth the wait. All of Brenda Jackson's books are good, but the Madaris series is wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, February 22, 2000
Fire and Desire is my favorite, two people fighting their feelings so they wouldn't loose their edge are thrown into a plot to die for. How they managed to survive is what makes this story so good. Trevor was the most gentle man, with just enough gruff to tame Corinthian's sassiness. This one put a smile on you face.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read this in one day...Yes it's THAT good!!!!, June 20, 2005
By
This is the best book by Brenda Jackson that I have read so far. I got it this past Saturday and thought I'd read it on and off throughout the weekend. Well, once I started, I did not stop -- and that's hard to do with a husband, kids, and errands to run. I carried this book with me all day and anytime I had to wait for something, I pulled it out and read a few chapters.

This is the ninth Brenda Jackson book I've read. I'm fairly new to her so I've been trying to go back and read through the Madaris books. They've been pretty good, but at times a little lackluster and boring. I found it easy to put it down and pick up later. Not this one.

Corinthians and Trevor make a great couple. The sexual tension is at the perfect level and I feel their relationship developed fully before they came to terms with their feelings for each other. The cave hot and steamy cave scene and the scene when they meet with Corinthians' father are my favorites. I think the references to the Madaris brothers could have been left out and this book would have stood well on its own. I put this down as a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars TOO HOT!!!!, February 8, 2005
By

since I have about three more books left to read to complete the Madaris Series, I don't know if it's too soon to talk. At this point, I'd have to say Fire and Desire was the best I've read out the whole series, so far. Brenda just gets better with every book. I love the plot and love scenes were just too hot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot and Steamy Romance!, April 1, 2001
By
Luv2Read "imareader2" (Baton Rouge, LA United States) - See all my reviews
Trevor Grant and Corinthians Avery's story is romantic and full of adventure and suspense. From the moment Corinthians met Trevor two years earlier in Dex and Caitlan's story ("Whispered Promises") the sparks have been igniting. Corinthians is one smart lady, but when it comes to figuring out that Trevor is in love with her, in that category she is a little dense. But not only Corinthians, but Trevor does not realize Corinthians' true feelings for him. They are constantly at each others throats. "Fire and Desire" definitely keeps the sparks going. It's a page turner that gets hotter with each chapter. Brenda Jackson has written another winner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Speak Your Feelings...Don't Leave The Other To Assume, May 11, 2001
By
First of all, let me commend Ms. Jackson on this lovely novel. I am 18 yrs old and a huge fan of Arabesque novels. I love this story...it was full of love, determination, stubborness and anticipation. Corinthians and Trevor are two total opposites yet they are the perfect match. I was amazed in the way Trevor was willing to risk his life to save Corinthians but since he was in the Marines he was able to save both his and Corinthian's life. He is what you call a true hero. He rescued her from danger and also from loving and giving herself to the wrong man. I was glad that Corinthian's came to her senses later on and allowed Trevor to love her. I also like the situation with Trevor's parents. It only proves to us that love have a way of bringing together who is right for each other. Good work Ms. Jackson keep it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK IS ON FIRE!!!, November 29, 2003

I can't begin to explain what I feel for this book. Brenda Jackson has out did herself with this book. I kinda read her series backward too. I started with FIRE AND DESIRE and then I read WHISPERED PROMISES. Even TRUE LOVE is connected to the Madarais family one way or another.
I'm sixteen years old and like most teenagers, we barely have time to eat three meals a day let alone read an entire book. But I did read this book. It took me about 36 hours combined, and it was 36 hours well worth it. The passion and words shared between Trevor and Corithians had me up until 2 in the morning.
I enjoyed reading STRICTLY BUSINESS where I learned that they had a boy and named him Rio. Altogether, Brenda Jackson is an exceptional writer. Keep up the good work.
