4.0 out of 5 stars Captivating
Randy travis' "Paradise" alone is worth the cost of the album. Also enjoyed Steven Segal and Randy Scruggs in "Desert Breeze".

The music is far better than the film - recommend this album highly

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
With Levon Helm in the movie, and (albeit briefly) singing in the movie, its a shame that he is not on this soundtrack. A missed opportunity, for sure.

I was very disappointed in the product because it is not what it is advertised to be a soundtrack. To me a soundtrack contains the people who sing the songs in the movie not someone else singing the songs.

firstly, I enjoyed the film. Seagal is not Deniro and that is a fact, you didn't expect him to be. I was impressed with Mark Collie and Ed Bruce. They came off better than I would have expected. The music does make the film, even if you are not a fan of that type of music. While it may not be a best seller, it was solid. Unfortunately, you may want to enjoy the soundtrack while watching the film. But then, i find most soundtracks to be this way.

Not an Academy Award winner but entertaning. It has a lot of truth to it.
Some of the music was great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much missing, February 6, 2002

The movie soundtrack had plenty of electric slide guitar by Ry Cooder, which was totally left off the soundtrack. I wanted the album, strictly for the Ry Cooder songs.

This was a marketeers "bait & switch" dream. What a disappointment.

I got it for Richie Sambora. He has the most amazing bluesy voice. Thank you Richie!
