Come along to Kindergarten to learn and play. Today is fire drill day. The children learn the rules of a fire drill and why it's important to practice it. Some kids are afraid of fire drill because of the loud bell or because they are not sure what to do. This would be a great book to read to preschoolers of k-5 students during fire safety week or even at the beginning of the school year so that when a fire drill comes they will know what to expect.

I used this book to introduce the idea of a fire drill to the children at our preschool. The book was written in a way that preschool children ages 3-5 could easily understand the idea of a fire drill. When we had our first fire drill, the children were well prepared.
