4.0 out of 5 stars Useful - but use with caution
I found the book extermely useful and as a professional fire eater, breather and poi spinner, I have seen quite a bit of info on the topic. The directions are clearly stated, step-by-step and reasonable and rational warings are issued. The book contains almost everything you could ask for in a short intro to the genere of fire eating and is a good place to start if...

3.0 out of 5 stars Covers basics - SAME title as "Fire Eating: A Manual of Instruction"
This book does cover the basic ideas of fire eating. Even though I have not eaten fire the info looks very good. Just be aware that it is very brief and terse.
Also be aware that this is the EXACT same book as "Fire Eating: A Manual of Instruction" with ISBN of 0917643127, so order either one or the other, not both.

As a pro, I don't advocate it, but if you try it be sure you have a high pain tolerence!

Fire Eating: you shouldn't do it. That is the message of this informative instruction book.

I give the author's credit, how do you write a book about an extremely dangerous activity without making yourself responsible.

They did an excellent job of talking me out of ever trying anything they reluctantly teach in this book.

If you absolutely must be a fire eater this is the book for you. If you think it would be cool to show off to your friends then this is Definitely the book for you. The Authors explain how each trick is not a trick at all but an extremely dangerous stunt that can go wrong every single time you try it, and why.

Seriously, one of the best "why you should never try this" instruction manuals ever written. Everybody buy it and make them rich.

I bought this book as a novelty, a gift. First of all, the book is the size of a Reader's Digest, but with only 20 pages...so why did I need to pay $5 in shipping for something that could have used two postage stamps? Ahhh, "handling".... don't waste your money. It won't make a good coffee table book.
