Good to have, yet not a must have.,

This review is from: Fire Emblem: Game Boy Advance: The Official Strategy Guide from Nintendo Power (Paperback)
In terms of content and such, this guide has more or less what you would expect. Character bios, some advice, a few secrets, and a bunch of maps and high points for the chapters. Beyond that, much of the information if offers is not terribly needed or useful. I will say that much of the info it offers can be found online, along with extras that this simply does not offer. In particular, it does not really discuss character growth, baseline use, and archetypes, which in Fire Emblem games can make your life easier.Still, having it is a good experience, because being able to flip through and check out a map you are having trouble on is very useful, and for the most part it offers solid strategy that can help out in a pinch. So really, if you like the game, you might as well buy it just to have it. It will do its job and serve you well, without really letting you down. |
