1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste., February 26, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: A Fire Investigator's Handbook: Technical Skills for Entering, Documenting and Testifying in a Fire Scene Investigation (Hardcover)
Don't waste your time reading this book. It is overly simplified, out-of-date, and yet pedantic. It is full of dynamic revelations such as (on page 134) "Once the camera brings the object into view, it must place the image onto a permanent surface called film. In simple terms, film is a transparent plastic base that is coated with a light sensitive emulsion. . . ". At the same time, it does go into the legal basis for Miranda rights and has some historical data about the first use of sketches in the courtroom - but very little of any real use.
