Fire King's Jade-ite 10-inch pie plate is gorgeously retro, opaque with a milky pale-green hue. It will look great out on the table as a serving dish, whether the setting is casual or semi-formal. But it's not just nice to look at. The tempering means that heat will be evenly distributed during baking, even at high oven temperatures. Tempered glass is also good in that it doesn't hold or transfer flavors.

There's a fluted design that runs around the inner rim of the pie plate that will lend a festive look to pies. Two broad side handles make for a balanced grip; just make sure and use potholders because they will heat up in the oven during baking. Fire-King glass products are dishwasher-safe, so cleaning is simple.
