First time use the paint melts off and sends all the nasty paint chemicals into the air chocking everyone and ruins the food. Then the unit rusted and the exterior paint bubbled up and started flaking off. Now it's useless and looks horrible in my new outdoor kitchen. I Contacted the manufacturer, RH Peterson who stated that they would stand behind their product and were concerned that this product must be defective since they never had this occur before. However, they said that I must contact the merchant that I purchased it from and they would work it out through them. I did and they sent me to their distributor who works directly with the manufacturer. Upon request, I sent all parties photos of the grill and was assured a resolution. I followed up monthly with no response for three months. Finally, I again contacted the manufacturer only to be told that this issue was closed and the distibutor should have contacted me. I was shocked when now they claim that it is completely normal for the paint to burn off because of the high temp! I expressed my complete dissatisfaction with this outcome for a $500 grill only to then be further insulted being told that this is their "Cheapest" grill and I should have considered the stainless steel version for $2,000.
I would never have imagined that a $500 grill would be considered cheaping out! Outrageous. DO NOT BUY THIS GRILL!
