Product Description

The strange feeling you had all day followed you to bed that night.

A sudden crash from the next room wakes you from dreams of magical lands, and sets your heart racing in your chest.

Sitting bolt upright in bed, the strange feeling returns as your eyes adjust to the darkness, focusing on the odd wooden symbols across the mantel of the fireplace. Almost as if something were calling you...

Turning on the lamp, you cautiously get up, moving towards the sound that woke you. This is your uncle's house and though you've been here many times, it suddenly feels very different.

The room is littered with wonderfully strange and interesting artifacts, souvenirs from your uncle's travels, from where he would not say. On the floor lays a small tiled box, broken open. Unfolding the paper nestled within it, you instantly recognize the symbols.

The fireplace!

Running back into the bedroom, you examine again the symbols on the paper. They match perfectly those in the woodwork of the mantel, but are arranged differently...

Though your hands are shaking with excitement, you work quickly, rearranging the wooden symbols to match the ones on the paper, hearing them click into place easily one after the other, until the pattern is complete.

Suddenly, beams of golden sunlight burst through the opening in the fireplace, cutting through the darkness in the room. Standing back with a gasp, you look through the opening, eyes wide in awe at the beautiful, magical land from your dream on the other side.

With a deep breath, you step through the opening and take your first steps into another world...

5.0 out of 5 stars Flawless 2D point and click adventure game! October 1, 2013
Verified Purchase
Fire Maple Games has always put out amazing games and products - this one is bar none, the best of their entire series - the graphics, and scenery are warm and inviting - you feel as though you are embarking on a mystical adventure filled with fantasy, puzzles, and more - the environments are nothing short of breathtaking, and really immerse you into the world of Mosaika.

The puzzles are much more challenging this time around, and really make you think of your next step - the nice thing about this game is that you have a magnifying glass hint button, so anytime you are stuck, just tap the magnifier, and it tells you the next step - if there is a puzzle involved, you even have the choice of revealing the solution, or waiting to see if you can solve it yourself. That's a really nice touch to this game so that both rookies and hardcores to the series can enjoy this game.

I finally completed the game last night, and loved the entire experience from beginning to end! Especially love the addition of animal characters in-game, and the evil Sorceress is a lovely addition as well! This game will blow you away with it's intricate puzzles, detailed animations, and breathtaking scenery!

5.0 out of 5 stars Point & Click Nirvana! September 30, 2013

Ninety-nine cents! Downloads fast, no glitches and best of all - NO HIDDEN OBJECTS! The graphics are fine; the puzzles are suitably puzzling but not impossible. The interface is intuitive, the inventory is labeled (and works on the first try!), the game is a good length. Much like Fire Maple's previous games, this is as close to a perfect point and click that you will find. Played on a second generation Kindle Fire and highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but I expected more November 23, 2013

I was very happy to see this game in the shop. I have been waiting for another good one from Fire Maple since I played Lost City. This is a click-screen puzzles game, not a hidden object game. I completed this game in about 2 hours, which is too short for a paid game. Overall it was fun and challenging, but just way too short. I would give it 5 stars if had been longer like Lost City.

Good puzzles
No ads
No upsells
No nagging

Way too short

5.0 out of 5 stars UPDATED REVIEW-- * How To Report Error Crashes * October 9, 2013

UPDATE- October 13, 2013:

Only 3 or 4 days after submitting a very brief report, (Scroll down to read my original review if you'd like to know how to do this) I'd decided to check the app again by simply downloading Mosaika from my Amazon Cloud and reinstalled it. Upon opening the game, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the color changing tree that is Fire Maple Games' logo. It was then that I knew the app had been fixed because all I could see was a black screen before.

So, if you cannot get Mosaika to even OPEN, or, you're having any other problems where you're unable to play the game, then I strongly suggest you try what I had. Then wait at least three to five days and download the app again. Mosaika is TOTALLY worth that effort and, is definitely worth the wait!!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: October 9, 2013:

I, too, have not been able to enjoy Fire Maple Games new point and click adventure app. Although I'm deeply disappointed about this, there is a right way and a wrong way to handle this problem. First, I'd like to start by saying: I personally do not feel an app deserves just one star, simply because it fails to open properly on my device. There could be any number of reasons for this; many of them of which could be of absolutely no fault to the app or the developer of the app, itself. Therefore, I feel it's unfair to immediately place blame for something that could be a problem within my own device.

So what do I do? Well, I obviously can't rate a game I haven't been able to even see, either. So, I stay neutral, give 3 stars, then scroll down the page where it states: REPORT An Issue: Click on that, tap the reason for the issue ( in my case, I checked the crashing app issue).

5.0 out of 5 stars ALLELUIA! FINALLY! October 4, 2013

There finally is another game from Fire Maple that is up there with their others. A true point-and-click mystery game that allows you to use your brain! And, NO HIDDEN OBJECT SECTIONS- those fillers that so many devs use, that I don't like.
The graphics are beautiful, and the objects in the inventory responded on the first tap.
I had just been trying to play Age of Enigma, and, out of desperation of the tap response not working properly, checked out the "Recommendations" section, and saw Mosaika listed. Once I saw it was a Fire Maple game, and saw the reviews, I knew it would be among my all-time favorites.
I highly recommend this game. But if you like HOGs., always use the Hint button, and don't have patience, then skip this one. This is for the TRUE point-and-click mystery game lovers. I play on Kindle Fire 1st generation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good (again) November 2, 2013

I often had a smile on my face as I solved puzzles during the two to three hours it took me to complete this game. Good quality throughout. I do have to mention that it was very much a repeat of The Lost City, the previous offering from this developer. There was a boat, an island you get to via the boat, a well, a buried item you dig up, a crevasse that must be magically bridged, and cleverly disguised solution codes to puzzles that were vaguely familiar.

But I didn't mind too much. Hopefully the developers make enough on this game that they can afford to create something with more original plotting and puzzles.

The app worked well and had nice graphics. It was not very challenging, so it would be a good game for first time hidden object mystery customers.

It would not even open on my Kindle Fire HD. I had to just un-install it from my Kindle and remove from my carousel. No use wasting space.
