This review is from: Fire In The Night: Creative Essays From An Iraq War Vet (Paperback)
American Authors Association review:
Wow! This book should be read by every American. If you ever wanted to know what a soldier's life is like in Iraq, this is the way to find out. The author lets us in on everything, from doing the laundry, to what he feels about America, the family life he's missing, the differences in social attitudes of Americans and the Iraqis, the soldiers' generosity to the children, and of course, fighting in a war. Author Kelley reveals his feelings in writing that at times is close to poetic and always straight from the heart. Excellent! Highly recommended.
