Too laughable to look at.,

This review is from: Fire Over England (1937) (DVD)
I don't know what the producers of this dvd movie were thinking when they attempted to take a full screen image format and put it into widescreen on dvd, but it didn't work. In fact it failed miserably. Every image, be it vegetable, animal, or mineral appeared short, thick, and heavy as if each had evolved in substance on a planet where the gravitational pull squashes everything under its weight as it would, perhaps, somewhere on the planet Venus. Needless to say, I didn't watch "Fire Over England" in its present form from beginning to end. Consequently I have no idea what this movie is about, and much less whether it might be worth watching since it was too laughable to look at from the start.

The entire image is streched, and the picture is pretty beat up. If you have to see this film, be warned- it's a pretty horrible edition.
